Jesse Arter has over two decades of experience in sustainable building. With this experience he provides consultation on materials health, sustainability and indoor air quality. He began working with and selling sustainable building materials in 2001 at the first-in-the-nation, importer, distributor and retailer of healthier and alternative building materials. In addition, he has lead hands on workshops in straw bale and cordwood home construction while living off grid, preserving historic building practices while exploring new building solutions. He is a specialist in material health, certifications, government regulations and material science. He created the “product filter” for a renowned Texas-based sustainable building material supplier and remodeler. Jesse has spoken at AIA and USGBC events. He is actively engaged in the materials ingredient transparency movement and collaborates with business partners and clients regarding material health, innovation and bring to market place strategies. Jesse has dedicated his career to helping solve pressing world ecological problems using the built environment as a fulcrum.
